How to Finally Get Around to Update Your Branding

If “update branding” has been on your to-do list for ages, today is the day to get inspired and finally get to it. Trust me, I understand why you’ve been putting it off. I HAVE BEEN there, even I’m a brand designer myself.

It may seem like a ton of work and you’re not sure you can make that commitment with everything that’s going on.

Maybe it’s not urgent, so it can definitely wait.

But, what if your business needs the improvement?

What if your target audience was drawn to you simply through your branding and the connection they made to it?

What if you felt more confident in your business because you have a well-crafted, true reflection brand? What if you could create content a lot more easily because you can follow simple guidelines and references to create a consistent experience for your audience?

When you think about it, all these things will help your business be better, earn more revenue, and become more stable. However, they can’t happen if you don’t update your branding if it needs to be updated.

If you want to understand what a branding update is all about, today we will give you all the information you need!

How to Update Your Branding

If you’re determined to finally cross this item off your to-do list, here’s what you need to do. First, you need to do your research. I mean, it all begins with research, does it not? This is no exception. You need research to determine how your business is doing on the market, what differentiates you, and what you need to change.

Second, you need to do a competitive analysis. I’m not saying you should copy your competitors. I’m saying you should determine what’s working right now. What trends and styles are doing well in your particular industry. Analyze their tone, value proposition, messaging, logos, colours, and everything else about their branding. Use that information to do something that’s better and your own.

Third, update your tone and your message. If your message is not working and it’s not communicating your core values, you need to update it ASAP. If your tone is not communicating your brand personality, do something about your voice.

Last but not least, update everything about your visual identity. You need to research what styles are doing well in the current marketplace and figure out how you can stand out from the crowd while still making sure your visual identity is true to your brand.

Once your branding is fresh again, you will see a big change! Feels that confidence, clarify and empowerment root in your heart.
